About me
He’s been compared to James Gandolfini for his range and depth, Klaus Kinski for his unpredictability, and a cross between Dennis Hopper and Crispin Glover for the somewhat creepier roles he’s attracted to, but William Brewer is a dedicated, classically trained Meisner actor living and working in New York City.William Andrew grew up racing motorcycles, and watching horror movies. It was at the age of fourteen that the words, “Drink some of this Michael, be one of us.” uttered by Kiefer Sutherland invited Mr. Brewer into the world of acting, and set forth the adventures of the next couple of decades. So what is an Ohio boy supposed to do after attending a school with no theater program? Of course, join the Marine Corps., go to college, move to Seattle, start a band and tour around the country for a decade, travel around the World four times, travel the country as if in Kerouac’s “On the Road”, then move to New York City and sign up for acting classes. It’s been a long journey to the starting line, but actors are supposed to have lived a little, or in this case, a lot.
Occupation: Actor
About my collections
Currently reading Don Quixote, Just finished Simulacra and Simulation. I read alot of acting books, currently reading A Challenge for the Actor by Uta Hagen. With movies I'm all over the place. I just go to the library and pick out the 10 best DVDs I can find. Aside from Horror movies, if not being told a GREAT story, don't waste my time. I usually stick to independent films. If it has IFC or Sundance on the box, I'm there. I don't own a TV, so it's just DVDs on the PC. TV has too many commercials. So many that they have to replay footage to remind you of what just happened. That's BS.
And in music I am everything from Robert Johnson to Slayer. I like people who take time to figure out like Daniel Johnston. I'm also a huge Nick Cave fan.
And my video game collection? I don't have one. Video games are for children.
